I was born in Romania, and here I stand proudly today, as a British resident and a successful Psychotherapist.

I never imagined the journey my life would take me on, or that I would be living and working away from my country of origin…

I was born in Romania into relative hardship under a dictatorship. In my young adult life, I worked as a builder. I moved on my own from Romania to Hungary to earn enough money to send home and support my family. At age 23, I was subscripted to the Romanian Armed Forces for National Service, after which I lived and worked in France, again to support my family.

Uprooting your life and starting from scratch, reinventing yourself again and again is not easy, but it also provides fantastic opportunities for growth. With a new self-awareness, I studied Psychology, eventually qualifying as a Psychotherapist in England, specialising in Transactional  Analysis. I later qualified as a clinical supervisor.

My Romanian roots still mean very much to me and of course I miss my mum’s cooking- but I have built my life here in England and along the way I have been fortunate enough to have made some deep and meaningful friendships, connections I will always be grateful for. I feel welcomed and loved.

From my humble beginnings, living in fear under a brutal dictatorship regime, I now feel so proud and privileged to work in the field of Psychotherapy. Life has brought me many riches, but none as great as those which my clients and supervisees bring every day in my counselling room. Being in a position where I can empower others to challenge their own limiting beliefs, and witnessing their journeys of growth is the best reward I could envisage.

I specialise in working with felt sensations within the body. Talking therapy still has its place in my counselling room but what I also know is that the body keeps the score and if we ignore the felt sensations we miss the opportunity to fully connect our unconscious processes or to release trauma.

I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I work according to BACP Ethical frame of work. I have full professional indemnity insurance and an enhanced disclosure certificate {DBS}. I support my practice with regular self-development work including personal therapy and mandatory Clinical Supervision.
